Overview

The Architect & Interior Designer is responsible for the design, planning, and technical oversight of new-build, refurbishment, and interior fit-out projects across Samko Services' property portfolio under Samko Holdings limited. The role combines architectural and interior design expertise with hands-on project delivery, ensuring that all developments meet regulatory, functional, and brand standards while supporting the organization’s strategic growth and property investment goals.

Specific Skills
  • Strong architectural design and space-planning ability, combined with an eye for interior aesthetics.
  • Excellent knowledge of building regulations, planning processes, and construction standards.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and creativity.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present design concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including CAD, BIM, and design/visualization software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar).
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines across multiple sites.
Responsible For
  • Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and 3D visualizations for refurbishment and fit-out projects.
  • Oversee space planning, material selection, and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) specifications to align with brand and operational standards.
  • Liaise with planning authorities, building control, and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and consents.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and procurement schedules in coordination with the General Manager and finance team.
  • Coordinate and supervise architects, contractors, surveyors, and tradespeople throughout the design and construction process.
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and identify potential structural or regulatory constraints.
  • Ensure all designs comply with building regulations, fire safety standards, accessibility requirements, and other statutory obligations.
  • Monitor project progress on site, resolving design issues and ensuring works are completed to specification and quality standards.
  • Support value-engineering exercises to balance design aspirations with cost efficiency.
